I used to have intrusive thoughts that I urgently need to get out of Israel.
These intrusive thoughts were very intense.
Now I think, non intrusively, out of religious considerations, that I want to live in Israel almost at any cost.
It is very important for me to live specifically in Israel,
where it is the best place to practice the Jewish faith.
I have intrusive thoughts like you too @chess24
I think they could be the result of disappointment. Things are not the way we want them to be so we think somewhere else, an escape might help?
I think about moving away like you. It makes no sense. I think about this so many times in a day.
Look up the white bear problem. Also I often wonder if these thoughts come from an unascertained benevolent or malevolent force in general.
@AchoirZenShip the white bear problem- I reject it entirely.
If you subscribe to it you believe that a person has no control over his thoughts and destiny,
and I’ll never accept it.
You have to be able to say no-this I won’t think.
Yeah I’m not so sure about it myself. Intrusive thoughts flare up for me
from time to time. I try to wing it, don’t have much of a strategy,
sometimes I try to think of God or something worse than the thought or I
scramble up my thoughts.
