It was -25 C and icy and one Finn said to another Finn ‘It is an excellent weather today’ to which this another Finn replied ‘Indeed it is excellent today’. I thought this was funny.
That only shows that they have no sense of humour.
Well people get used to the colder weather in many different ways, one way this joke is to show how people try to be positive even though it is cold and icy.
Here is a Canadian joke about our cold winter weather…
Why are the people in Canada cooler than the rest of the world?
Because the weather is always cold.
Here is another. It was snowing heavily and I rode my bicycle and a woman came whom I know. I complained about this snow storm, and this woman replied ‘in winter we should have snow’, maybe my sense of humor is not so good, well at least it helps me to cope with the colder and icy weather.
Being a Minnesotan and American Finn I got the joke right away. Haha! You sound like some of my uncles OP.
In Denmark we say:
“I love the Danish summer, it’s my favorite day in the year”
We say the same in Sweden.
That is funny, I went for my evening walk and it was -10 C and then a woman passed me, she had no hat nor gloves. Somehow people get used to this colder weather.
So Sweden has this one joke and it’s actually Danish?
I tried to make up a good joke about Finland, but I couldn’t FINNISH it
Haha… or maybe you come to Finland and so you will be Finnished. I am going for my evening walk later.
Haha cute
