The only artist that comes to my mind is Daniel Johnston. They made a great documentary about him too.

He’s considered an outsider artist, but he has a pretty big following.

Wikipedia said he was bi-polar and never mentioned schizophrenia.

Not yet… Soon I will…

Bebe Rexha has bipolar. I think one of the guys from The Beach Boys also has schizophrenia.

Hmmm. Maybe he’s not schizophrenic then. I recall in the documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston that he heard voices. So I always thought he was schizophrenic.

My bad! :grimacing:

Yeah, Brian Wilson, the leader and creative genius of the band. I was reading about him. He pioneered all kinds of studio recording innovations. Their album “Pet Sounds” inspired the Beatles to create the Sgt. Pepper album. Some people even consider “Pet Sounds” the best pop album ever.

I knew he was schizophrenic for a long time, it was much publicized. But I heard not too long ago that his diagnosis was changed to bi-polar. I don’t know how much truth there is to that.

Starting In 1988, and into the early '90s during the recording of his first studio produced albums, Johnston’s mental health suffered, and he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
