if you had knowledge of lottery numbers before they happened, would you play those numbers? i think i may have and it’s eating me up. my grandparents gave me three numbers a while back and they came up. i played them and won 25 pounds. now i have been given seven numbers and i don’t know what to do. isn’t it stealing? isn’t it changing history? i don’t know if i could handle it if something bad happened to someone else because i played these numbers…i don’t know what to do. what would you do?

why not play the numbers? what makes you think you’ll win so assuredly?

I don’t think you’re the only person in the world who thinks they have gotten the winning numbers by magic, or whatever you want to call it. I don’t think I’ve EVER heard of a lottery winner who’s won a big jackpot say they got the numbers from magic or fortune tellers, or telepathy etc. Believe me, when it comes to the lottery there is no such thing as a “sure thing”. There’s 5 or 6 billion people on this planet, how many individuals think they have special powers?
ANSWER : a lot.
How many of those people are winning the lottery? Not anyone I’ve heard. By coincidence maybe, or luck is about all.
Play your numbers and don’t feel guilty. If you’re the one person out of 5 or 6 billion who has a sure thing and you win and you feel guilty, then donate half your winnings to feed starving children or bring water to desperate people in villages in arid lands.
But just in case, can I go in on those numbers…?

Winning 25 pounds is on a different scale than winning a million pounds. The odds against winning go up exponentially when the jackpot is in the thousands or tens of thousands.

How in the world is that stealing? The winning numbers are not predetermined, so there can be no inside fraud.
It wouldn’t matter if Jesus Christ himself gave you the winning numbers as long as you play them. The officials never question how the lucky winner got the winning numbers except out of curiosity.
How would you feel holding those lucky winning numbers in your hand but didn’t buy a ticket? All you would have then is 7 numbers in your hand instead of the prize money. Go buy a ticket, win, then donate some of it to this great site we rely on so much. 
My other question is why wouldn’t your grandparents play the numbers themselves?

Keep in mind that in the extremely unlikely event that they do come up that doesn’t even mean or “prove” your grandfather had foreseen it.
Cause and effect can often be extremely hard to nail down in this universe of ours. I caught a bad bug after I took my dad to the hospital a couple months ago. I assumed I picked it up at the hospital but it is also possible I got it somewhere else. No way for me to be really sure.
Furthermore there is no way to falsify your claim. The problem is not that it might be true but there is no way to prove it wrong… I could just as easily argue that brushing my hair last week caused the thunderstorm tonight. Can you disprove it?

By all means, play the numbers. That way you can find out if your intuition was real. If you don’t this will eat at you for a long time. It is in no way stealing.

well both my grandparents are dead and they gave me those 3 numbers in a dream. this time with the 7 numbers, they just kinda popped into my head. i guess there’s no harm in playing right?

If I won lotto I’d sell my friends and buy new ones. I’m also in most of the sites future so can give the winning lotto number. But seriously play the numbers or not. It’s all your choice. Money can’t buy happiness but makes living in misery a lot easier.

I don’t see what’s wrong with trying it. You could always give some of the money to charity if you didn’t feel comfortable keeping it all too yourself.
I’d say go for balance. Maybe get two tickets and play the numbers you got from your grandparents and also play some other self though numbers as well. That way there is more of a 50/50 about your numbers.
I hope you win something… that could be it too…
you might not win “THE BIG ONE” but you might win just enough to smooth the edges in time for the holiday season… or just enough to cover a vet bill or something.
