When i was transitioning to Cobenfy i was still on Zyprexa…coming off the Zyprexa gave me the worst insomnia of my life! Now that I’m on Cobenfy, i still take haldol as an adjunct. I also take temazepam to help me sleep. Going on Cobenfy, i HAD to stop the Zyprexa cuz the anticholinergic burden was too high on both. But i wanted to stop it anyway cuz it made me a food monster…
has anyone had an easy transition switching to Cobenfy?
When I started Cobenfy, I was still on 80 mg of lurasidone and 6 mg of Vraylar. Still at the same Vraylar dose, but I tapered down to 40 mg of lurasidone at my pdoc’s discretion. I think the Cobenfy is helping with positive symptoms, but isn’t helping with negatives. It’s hard to tell how much of an impact Cobenfy is having, as I don’t do much during the day and have little insight to med switches
