Is anyone here on a dose equal to or lower than 5mg Olanzapine?
Is this a low dose? Can I safely go lower?

I’ve been on this dose for two weeks now…. Feeling better. Not allowed to come off for over a year.
In what ways are you feeling better?
Feeling slightly more emotional, movement is better and cognition has improved.
I hope my cognition improves. I constantly feel like I’m trying to think through mud. Only day two at 5mg though

Going through a break up with my partner of 11 years at the minute…. Finding it difficult to accept
I found the improvements to be dramatic… felt better each day. Although this might be in the mind.
I’ve also lost weight.
Are you coming off of antipsychotics then?

That sounds promising. Yep the current plan of my doctor is to take me off antipsychotics. He doesn’t think I’m schizophrenic even though I think I am.

Okay that’s exciting…. Hopefully it works out. Have you only had one episode?
Yep only one episode so far. I’m a bit scared that I’m going to get psychotic because I so firmly believe I have schizophrenia but it will be a good test.

Already been through that, managed five months off of aps and was great. Unfortunately relapsed and was delusional for six weeks while on 10mg Olanzapine.
Wish I hadn’t had the second episode.

Yeah hopefully it will…. Chances are less at now I suppose. But will give it another shot.

How long have you been on antipsychotics? I was only on for six months before my doctor took me off.
I’m heading towards a year…
My doctor should have left me on longer… I did push to come off though.

What’s your diagnosis?
Still non organic psychosis at the minute. Seems like where I am the psychiatrist prefer not to diagnose schizophrenia and say it’s psychosis spectrum.
Would have thought they’d change my diagnosis after the second episode tbh.
Still gives me some hope I’m not schizophrenic though!
