Saw my pdoc today and the whole session lasted only 5 minutes!
Now this is way too short!
I usually see her for 10 minutes but this is ridiculous!
I told her I was doing well on the new reduced Depakote dose and that was basically it.
Anyone else have 5 minute sessions with their psychiatrist?
I’m not so happy about it.

I would love a 5 minute session because it’d mean that i was progressing in recovery and that i was “doing well.”

I wouldn’t be happy either. Even if you had nothing else to say, something’s often come up in those other five minutes
I once had a 1-2 minute pdoc appointment. I was really psychotic at that time not doing well he was awful.

I had an appointment with my pdoc today, as well. It was very brief. I could tell she was preoccupied and trying to get through as fast as possible.

Yeah maybe the session was short because I was reporting good news.

My sessions are 10 minutes max. But normally between 5-10 minutes. It’s probably a sign they’re happy with your stability ?

Yes maybe @everhopeful.
She also seemed busy on her computer when I walked in.

My sessions usely last 15 min, which I think is too short. I pay 76€ for them so I expect more time.
