Started the 5:2 diet today with my first day at 500 calories. 3pm now and fairly hungry.

Week one of the diet completed with fasting days on Friday and Monday. Feel terrible on the fasting days but feel fantastic the morning after a fasting day. It might be difficult to sustain long term but I’ll see how long I can tolerate it. Might need to eat more low calorie bulk foods the fasting days.
i think i saw dr. axe a naturopathic doctor. recommends bone broth when fasting to get nutrients without adding calories, i think bone broth would be a little too expensive for me plus im a vegetarian. but you can check him out on youtube, im a little skeptical of him as he’s turned into a supplement salesman i think but thats just me
