On March 15 2000 I left Atlanta after my divorce deal with my former US spouse and I headed to Miami. This was 22 years ago. I never knew how the future might be. The world as our lives is so unpredictable. I am on that journey still today. Who could have guessed that I am discussing the war in Ukraine with a cashier at my local grocery store early in the morning of this sunny day. Spring is coming and I may soon ride my bicycle when the bicycle paths have melted. Our lives are so precious and we never know what the future shall bring us. I wish that you all are okay although there are so many uncertainties.

My 87 rear old father is already planning for the future and another full on war. He is hoarding food, torches, toilet paper and is worrying about the water supply. I just carry on as usual hoping for better days to come.

I was talking to a girl I met through the old site the day 9/11 happened. Got up early with my mother saying they are attacking America! I was like wtf…
You live long enough you see some pretty serious things. I’m amazed at the level of tech…I remember the first 8 bit computers…now most phones have more computing power than floor level computers back in the day…Strange days indeed!

I remember when the 911 happened. I lived in my auto in Miami and I made my egg breakfast under one bridge in Miami and listened the happenings on my radio. It was the world changing moment which started wars in Afghanistan which ended in 2021 when the US withdrew their military only to enable the Taliban to gain power again. It just seems that new wars begin almost every year. I am happy I survived my 2-year living in my auto in America and then eventually moved to Europe and Finland in 2002.

I fell in love and moved over there around the same times as you did. I too saw the end of the relationship but with the internet these days I’m still in touch with my Ex and step daughter…

Yes, I stopped all communication. People just moved on with their lives.
