1st Winter Storm

We have a winter storm warning for up until tomorrow 8am. They are saying ice glaze and 5-9 inches snow.

We get more snow than that a lot, but the ice glaze is what is dangerous.

Yes had to cancel my therapist appointment today because of the oncoming storm.

I don’t like driving on snow or ice.

Me, either. Luckily only one of my kids goes to school far from home. I think the roads will be ok at 3. The rest are close.

Here I am complaining about northern VA snow/sleet.

You guys get more snow than we do. We always get the one to six inch storms that for some reason have everyone in town rushing grocery stores for milk etc. We’ve only had a real snow (blizzard) a few years in the last 30. 1996 stood out as a huge blizzard that delayed my flight home so I was stuck in Texas for 3 days.

Did you know they hang the traffic lights the wrong way in Texas?

I grew up in North Carolina so New York winters were crazy for me at first. I’ve gotten used to all the snow. We get a lot and a LOT of crazy cold temps.

I’m stopped in Kentucky on my way to Michigan and it’s snowing here.

We only got 3 inches of snow luckily

we get snow tonight and 55mph wind will be nasty with the wind

I was snowed in today. Everything shut down and we were in a state of emergency.

What area are you in?

We had a freeze for a few hours. No snow. You don’t see much of that in Louisiana but I had to spray my windshield off with a hose to get the ice off to drive and get my wife breakfast this morning.

I hope we get some snow though. We actually got snow twice last year and we usually don’t get any so probably not.

I was hanging out with my friend last night and it was cold when we went out, then we were in my apartment for a bit and neither of us expected snow but it was already collecting outside.

Today’s high is 67 F. I find it interesting that my neighbors are dressed as if they’re in Antarctica.
