Social contagion, it's A Thing

They found that having more friends who suffer from bad moods makes it more likely for you to be in a bad mood with a lesser chance of improving your mood.

There is flip side to that.

According to the study, the opposite applies to people who surrounded themselves with more positive people.

I think I caught paranoia from this site.

Seriously, the mood here has been low and yesterday I freaked out,

Still freaking out.

Probably is contagious.

My husband is super positive and optimistic,

I feel like the everyone he’s around is elevated by his attitude.

Except for me, I’m immune now.

Opposites attract, I guess.

That’s actually normal.

Yeah.

It seems to happen whenever I go to the hospital too.

Which, by the way, is why I’m not in the hospital right now.

My husband was less than thrilled about the evidence of yesterday.

Seems like the trauma of another hospital visit would outweigh the benefit.

So,

I win?

I’ve always had positive friends and a somewhat positive attitude. It’s not that I don’t have negative feelings or that bad things just don’t happen to me, it’s about how I deal with them.
