This probably isn't a good way to think

Anybody else feel like they attract other people with mental health issues?

I know lots of people have mental health issues… but idk lol.

A good friend here I made recently, I just found out she has BPD.

For some reason, this puts me on edge…. Maybe cause I have a bad experience with my husband’s cousin who also has BPD..

I don’t want to be put off by her mental health issue… but I am a little bit..

I guess now I know how other people are put off by my diagnosis.

I have some friends that have mental health issues, mostly people with depression or anxiety

But it’s true sometimes it’s like we can feel it that the person has similar issues

During the period where I had constant psychosis the only person I became friends with in my class is a schizophrenic

It’s because of him I could know what I was hearing wasn’t true

I just realized I had/have friends IRL that have mental health issues. I think I was attracting people with mental health issues because I didn’t realize I was depressed. I was already medicated for anxiety and sz and was questioning things with them. I’m now seeing things clearly being medicated for depression and inattention too.

At any rate, the individuals I was/am friends with, who have mental health issues, are clearly not medicated. I know in every single case they would not appreciate me saying something. So, I’m not going to. They were/are only casual friends.

Some of the best friends I ever had were schizophrenic. They were cool people but really nice, in fact they would fit in here pretty good.

My only non-family friend has schizoaffective bipolar, just like me! And I’ve known her since like age 7, around there. We get along really well. I hope our friendship will last our whole lives. We are both 32, atm.

My husband has anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism. We get along really well, too. He’s a very logical thinker, so he helps me think clearly and maintain some insight to my schizoaffective delusions and such.

Everybody has mental health issues. The more interesting people also tend to have the more interesting health issues. I like hanging with interesting people, so when you put all of our DXes together it’s something of a dog’s breakfast. LOLLLLL.

I made friends with others in the hospital but never lasted after that

Here’s me with another patient back in 2013

Do you know the spelling of “Stigma.”
