I’m currently on only 2.5mg of olanazapine for my delusions and 200mg lyrics for anxiety. I think I may need a higher dose of olanzapine. I’m not fully honest with my doctor because I’m afraid of having a diagnosis like SZA/SZ. I’m afraid because of the stigma. At first my pdoc said I have delusional disorder but after my most recent visit he says I just have some mild form of PTSD and that I need therapy. I will start therapy soon and hopefully that will help but I’ve been feeling slightly psychotic lately. I’m pretty high functioning to the point where sometimes I know I’m slipping away from reality. It is the most weird feeling I can not even begin to describe.

You have to be 100% honest with them otherwise they can’t help you.

I don’t think that 2.5 mgs is going to do much for you. Even a 5 mg dose is pretty low…

Yeah it doesn’t really do anything for me honestly and has no impact on my delusions even at 5mg. I don’t hear voices or anything so I’m not sure if it’s really necessary to be in a higher dose of anti psychotics. At most I was taking 40mg of Latuda recently and I know the highest dose is 120mg.

Oh ok. Well it helps more things than voices. There’s people on the forum too I think that don’t hear voices but need antipsychotics.
You should be as honest as you can with ur doctor if things are unmanageable for you so you can get help with it.

I know anti psychotics are supposed to help with delusions but that doesn’t really seem to be the case for me. Maybe it helps a little but not much. That’s why I’m not sure if a higher dose is the answer. 5mg olanzapine makes me pass the ■■■■ out but then I’m still paranoid and delusional.
Have you been on other meds? Have you ever been on a high enough dose of one?
Yeah I’ve been on seroquel and latuda. Olanzapine is much stronger so if that doesn’t work for my delusions I don’t know what will. The most I’ve taken is 5mg olanzapine and 40mg latuda.

Idk. You may need a higher dose. If ur honest with ur doctor then he/she would know how to properly treat you.
And yeah I get you on the sedating factor of zyprexa, it did that to me too. I used to take 20mgs of zyprexa and it worked so well for me but I gained a ■■■■ load of weight so I had to get off of it.

Don’t worry about a diagnosis right now. Just worry about symptom management.
I was really delusional on olanzapine ND I was on 40mg and 12mg perphenazine. Also the voices were more problematic since they really distracted me
