This is the biggest project I’ve done, been working on it for 3-4 days for many hours, it’s a work in progress and I will post the final version when I’m done in a couple of days. I want to add some more details and textures before I call it finished.

Thanks, been working on it so long that I felt I needed to share. I’m surprised with my own patience on this one, I decided that I wanted a detailed shot and with realism, usually I stop projects after a couple days of working on it, but I wanted to stick through to get more details.
There’s the scene seen from far away, it’s just this corridor with trees around

I noticed the trees in the background. Were they the same as the ones in the castle picture?

Yeah they’re the same ones! I have an addon that places objects like trees randomly around a surface.

Ty! I always wondered how pros could get a picture to be one color mainly, even though there’s many different colored objects in the scene, if you decrease the saturation it seems like you can get away with any color for an object, and it still looks believable, something I’m experimenting with.
I’m not sure if I pulled of the yellow/blue color scheme perfectly but it’s a start.

I’m remaking it after some critique I got on a forum.
I’m going with more realistic lighting, and making sure the center has the most contrast by turning down the lamps in the front. I’ll be adding a window on the left and some doors on the right. I still think the ground outdoors is a bit too bright, or no?

Thanks, I had to tone them down, they were too distracting from the story of the image. At least it felt so to me and from the critique i got.

Ty, yeah it was a lot of work. I’m getting close to something I could put on a portfolio and it feels good. Many of my projects are half-assed, not this one when I’m done with everything. Maybe I’ll start an artstation.com page and put it there when it’s done.
