i think we are tougher than the general population bc of all the ■■■■ we have to deal with but what do you think?

I said both. We endure the perils of mental illness on top of an already fast paced society. But also have a lower tolerance for stress

I voted tougher because I am. I live just like many normal people do. I’m married, I drive, and I work, all while being aware of and yet having to ignore what amounts to a rift in reality and exposure of the spiritual dimension that most people can’t see. One foot in the physical, one foot in the spiritual…without my consent or will; it’s just where I am. And yet I balance, I stabilize and survive… If we’re functioning, we’re amazingly tough. If/when we’re not functioning, we’re exhausted, not weak, just exhausted.

I voted both, I am weaker because of the illness, but it makes me one tough cookie because of the illness

I’m really good at fighting things that normal people don’t ever have to fight.

I’m not sure if it counts as a strength, if I wouldn’t need it without my problems.

I’ve known several people who were very strong, but it shouldn’t have been that way.
