Anyone else feel like the AI or algorithm sends you messages? I know it sounds schizophrenic and it is, but part of me feels like it’s a message or code. Same thing with movie trailers and movie/tv clips. I just sit back and enjoy it. Sometimes it makes me paranoid. Sometimes, not so much. I’m sure the caffeine does it or worsens it, but I don’t know. I feel like it could be aliens or ai.

when i hit refresh a lot and look at the videos. i guess it’s based on history and stuff but it’s also weird and stuff.

The YouTube algorithm doesn’t make sense sometimes, but rest assured it’s not speaking to you. There’s apparent randomness in amy algorithm and our brains do our best to try to see a pattern.
It can get me feeling a bit paranoid too sometimes, but it is in no way sending messages when it recommends a video that seems out of place, the algo is just looking weird.

During my psychotic break I thought an AI chat bot had beaten the turing test and that I had some how failled and therefore I was some sort of like in the matrix ai robot talking to a person or something such like that.
I feel that its very easy to get mixed signals from things like this. The ads on the T.V. seemed oddly targeted at me, but I’m also in the nearly ideal marketing age bracket so it sorta logically makes sense for things to line up there.
Over all the delusion slowly faded over time, thinking, and just reliably taking my medication.

I try not to look at youtubes algo videos i try to pick what i want.
Ive tried modifying the platform by removing the side bars but then it removes too much and makes it too difficult to use.
Im very anti ad/news/targeted ad stuff lol.
Maybe get an ad blocker?
