I wanted to move from my state to another state
Between the lines. To be in line with free housing

So if I want to move, ill already have a place to stay

Has anyone done this trick?

I moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts about 1980.

I stocked up on my meds before I moved.

I found Mental Health Clinics through the yellow pages.

I got networked with NAMI.

When I couldn’t navigagte the system I went to an Organization for the Rights of the Disabled.

I had to advocate for my wellbeing.

I was unaware housing was really free. Subsidized housings can take a long time to get.

I’d like to know how you get free housing as well

Well in local mental health resources told me it takes 10 years to get a free housing…

I need to move in August for an internship. I’m really nervous about it as won’t have my normal supports in place that I have here. I’m trying to get my bearings and figure out what I can do to do well in another state. What have you figured out so far?

If you are going to another State, you may need another insurance. I would start that process before I got to the other State.

I never had insurance.

What kind?

I want insurance that covers visits with a med provider and a counselor and covers psych meds.
