I’m fairly dysfunctional/not that good at daily manual/practical tasks. Yet I’ve also been described as having ‘huge potential’.

I’ve kind of made a career out of having potential.
Took some practice mensa tests, icar16, couple wonderlics all around 120ish. My take is kinda depressing, but i definitely think iq is a variable to be taken into consideration.
From studies I’ve seen basically a higher iq will be able to complete the same task as a lower iq in less time. With added complexity, it favors the higher iq, tho lower iq could still do it. Just depends on your preference.
Iq and wealth are not correlated, but it is tied to earning power. So maybe higher iqs have more disposable income, idk.
I wish I was smarter. There’s more people you have things in common with, if you’re average.

I don’t think much of it. When I was still in the military and was going through a medical discharge I appealed everything.
They sent me on a plane trip for a second opinion. And I saw all kinds of doctors and therapists. One psychologist gave me that ink blot test. That was such ■■■■■■■■.
Another thing they did was send me to this special doctor where I spent all day doing tests. English, Math, Sciene, History and a lot of memory stuff. It took a whole day and I scored really well and she ruled out schizophrenia as a diagnosis.
Yet I still had to medically retire with chronic paranoid schizophrenia.
So all those tests were just a waste of time.
But I can tell you who wrote Sherlock Holmes.
Doesn’t matter.
Schizophrenia hit me at almost 40 so I learned what I was capable of without it. I could do damn near everything and now I can do damn near nothing.
I am a fairly smart guy but if you can’t use your education and experience to hold down a job and function well and make the kind of life for yourself you know you are capable of it doesn’t matter how smart you are.
Might as well be a rock. At least then you have a good excuse for failure

Does someone believes that people with SZ/SZA are more intelligent than other ppl?
Or it’s just a myth? Because I know that some time ago people actually thought that SZ = genius.
Overall I am not genius at all. Well, during my episode there were times when i was delusional and I believed I can learn to do literally anything by few sec.
while in reality I am in an average range of IQ.
