if you want to say what’s your intellect you can share
Mine is actually ~100 @san_pedro
I don’t get it… why they don’t make movies about more positive stuff ![]()
I think it goes back to our primitive nature of being fascinated with death. We’re always trying to come to terms with it and understand it. Therefore our art will reflect that.
Idk.
I made grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner last night.

And I overeat these days :DD Literally, I eat too much, maybe someone knows how to stop???
If you’re on medication it could be the AP’s. They tend to increase appetite.
I scored 120ish post-SZA on Mensa’s test a few years ago. Probably a lot lower than that now.
I think IQ can tell a lot. My results make me wonder if im not autistic cause i had a big gap between my verbal and non verbal iq which happens in autism and the doctors thought i might be autistic as a kid but they went with schizophrenia instead. But now that i think about it, the two can be really similar in some ways so maybe the gap is a sz thing too. Idk.
Mine was 105 verbal and 127 non-verbal…after adjustment for a learning disability so it comes across as lower.
I think IQ is sort of a branching path.
There are language paths
there are information processing paths
There are computational paths
there are information recall paths
There are situational awareness paths.
There are creative paths
I don’t really have a handle on how many paths there are, but I think I’m aware that there are branches and that its not just one single thing you can focus a test to cover a branch to the best you can but your accuracy on figuring out all of it would have to be an in depth process taking as long as a month of recurrent testing.
I feel my IQ hasn’t changed much since my illness, but I certainly lack some of my cognitive abilities I once had. Like ability to problem solve. I feel people treat me like I’m way dumber than I really am because of my flat affect, and my lack of social cognition. I even feel more socially aware than people seem to treat me. It’s uh… yeah.
IQ or innate abiliity is a real thing in my opinion, mine was upper end of average in school. 119, but they say it drops by 16 points after SZ so now I sit at average comfortably.
I definitely notice a difference. I cant juggle two different ideas at once, nor can I memorise longer sequences and see patterns needed to make it easier as easily.
In the UK we used to use (still do?) the CATS. Verbal reasoning (writing), non verbal (shapes) and numerical. My worst score was on shapes, highest was verbal or maths, cant remember which one anymore - i did have a copy of the document but it got thrown out with all my school stuff.
It put me into the gifted and talented register. But promordal symptoms hit after 17, and during that isolation i started to really struggle with focus and commitment. Even tryna play football (soccer) which i loved, i had lost the will to do. Needless to say studies were hit harder.
I got three two low passes on college and one average pass. Whereas at 17, i scored 10 above average passes and one B grade, which is about just above average.
My plan was to go med school but i got depressed and tried physics which i lost ability in. Ended up doing a social science and got a below average pass in the degree.
Im not even gonna hide that it hurts to be affected by this, but resilience can improve IQ im led to believe so im not gonna give up on keeping my self trying to regain reading ability at the very least
Maths is useless to me, so are shapes or puzzles. But reading? Really really important for social sciences.
Actually, I think I can still problem solve, for the most part. Mainly I lack the creativity I once had (so I have a really hard time making music now), I have a hard time synthesizing new thoughts, etc. But I still contain most of the knowledge in my head that I have gathered through my life. And social cognition is huge for being able to function in the real world.
It took me until I was 27 before I was able to spell IQ right.
You’re kicking big time ass now though pursuing a degree in economics!

definitely, its fun i cant argue with that ![]()
I am just smart enough to get into trouble.
hi hey from all your thoughts you explain I get the impression that you are extremely intelligent.
Intelligence is real but the measurements we have for it are extremely flawed.
Just because someone doesn’t know anything about a certain topic doesn’t mean they aren’t a smart person.
Also I feel intelligence should more be measured by capacity to learn rather than what you know
i think its a horrible scam lol not really a scam but kinda scammy. thinking you can analyze someones mind according to these little puzzles and rank people by intelligence is silly.
Maybe it measures something but its not like hey my iq is higher therefore im smarter. life isnt that simple lol. Theres plenty of other measures of intelligence…
in my understanding intelligence is clearity of mind which comes from living a good life…the ability to see the truth. This little test isnt the measure of intelligence and it seems like its taken the world by storm … just my opinion tho. Anyone’s free to disagree.
thats the test aint it?
see my problem is i always put the Q first
he figured it all out… just ask questions instead of answering anything ![]()
