I’m guessing nicotine and caffeine are tolerated but not alcohol? I get it may be triggering for people who are sober but I don’t get why I can’t ask people about their alcohol use ?

Everything in moderation too many cigarettes can kill you as well
Beer relaxes me takes the stress off of for me, though i got paranoid once after drinking 4 cans in a day when i didn’t sleep well.
I have an alcohol abuse problem, but have been sober for just over a year now. I can’t drink because I’m an alcoholic.

It didn’t trigger me. What triggers me the most is being around people who are drinking or smelling the alcohol.
Isn’t the whole point of AA to talk about it though? I don’t see the issue.
Alcohol is to be discussed in a recovery context only. I really wish people would read the rules so I don’t have to constantly post them…

Read the rules. They are very straightforward…Alcohol as a recovery context only subject has been rule since this version of the sites inception, many moons ago…It’s not new.
