WOW mushrooms contain vitamin B12

Wow. They say vegans cant get vitamin b12. Well b12 was found in mushrooms, on the flesh and inside. Not in large amounts though.

I’m not vegan, I eat meat, but I might try vegan again. This time I’ll eat mushrooms. One thing I was worried about before when I was vegan was b12 deficiency. It didn’t seem natural to take b12 supplements.

Edit- I just read the b12 is in small amounts, so I’m not too sure yet.

Vegan here, most almond milks are b12 fortified. I take a supplement just in case, there is also cereals or nutritional yeast. With a supplement you can be sure you are getting more than enough I think mine is like 300% daily value. Many vegans do not supplement and do fine though.

Props to vegans who make it work. I can’t manage the diet, I feel so weak on it. I need some good-quality protein to feel normal.

There both good diets…vegan/meat.

It’s just that they say you can only get b12 from animals. Well that’s not true.

I will carry on eating meat, but veganism does seem a bit more natural now.

I don’t judge anyone on foods they eat, if anything I’m the odd one out usually lol. Food is big business and anything that effects the profits of the industry usually gets crushed and demonized. I want people to eat what they like and what makes them feel good but not feel they dont have a choice. They try to make it out as we won’t survive without this or that when it’s just not true.
