Would you switch APs if you suffered sexual dysfunction?

my sex drive is incredibly reduced compared to what it used to be i also don’t wanna change meds though, it could just be age but then i thought 40s we’re meant to be fun? i dunno

if i we’re you i’d speak to doc about it and see what they say
they may just add something

How do you know for certain that the Risperdal and other mood stabilizers are causing your ED?

I’m assuming as I didn’t have this problem on Abilify.
Also my Doctor told me that my Prolactin levels are high because of Risperidone use.
High Prolactin levels can cause low Testosterone and ED issues.

My amisulpride causes high prolactin and sexual dysfunction but nothing else works for me. And frankly I’m not interested in sex anyway and I’m glad I’m not able to fall pregnant because I’ve never wanted kids.

I would have switched to another ap, yeap, dear… This is important i find, plus the prolactin is bad on another hormones too… Think well, but if you respond well to another aps, i’ll would have switched or add something lifting yeap
Take care!!!

Can you try viagra? I think it’s ok to use it even if it’s for self pleasure. Nothing to be ashamed of
