This is a good one, fun to think about it. Would you rather be a non famous regular person with a normal job and be smart like a Duke student or would you rather be a famous athlete who is wealthy but less smart?
tough call. i wouldn’t want to be famous. but the money may make it worth it. i guess i would prefer being smart and regular.
Defo go for this one. I don’t want fame (I don’t think). and athletes need to spend sooo much of their time training it is just too much of my life training training training.
I like the idea of being smart too, ill make a good life of myself as a smart person
I feel uncomfortable having an open instagram account, even though there are zero pics of me on it i don’t think id do well being famous i think i would rather be a regular person.
I think I’d rather be a super smart regular person and be a math professor or something like that. Maybe a chemistry professor. Either one of those would be awesome.
I believe in fate.
I’d rather be myself, for better or worse.
I feel anything is better than what I am. Which is a nobody.
You are not a nobody @SkinnyMe!
What you’ve been through gives me hope.
Don’t underestimate yourself!
Famous athlete any day over being smart regular person. If you read the book Grit by Angela Duckworth, the greatest predictor of a person’s success is passion and perseverance, not any form of intelligence. Every single famous national, Olympic level athlete have to endure huge amounts of pain, sweat, training to be where they are. A lot of companies like banks I work at hire famous athletes into front office, the 6 figure salary positions precisely because they have the perseverance and mental toughness to work long hours and keep trying until they succeed in solving the problem.
I have dreams of being a happy e-sports star who isn’t super smart. Just content.
But I’ve tried that route, to some extent, and it cost me my elbows.
Now I am forced to be regular.
By the way I don’t think athletes are stupid.
I believe my soul has da wisdom and knowledge so even if I have a low iq and am not smart in person my soul still has its wisdom therefore I rather be rich ,happy, healthy, famous athlete.
As a normal person there may be worries about being able to pay bills etc
I rather not have those worries.
I am already a smart regular person.
Being famous comes with a lot of work and sacrifice, and I’m content with the way my life is right now.
One thing ive always hated is being in the spot light…
People bug me and I couldn’t imagine being center of attention … (I can wipe my own rear)…
Preferably id like to be smart, and if possible earn enough like a 100,000 dollar a year salary…
Nothing crazy. Just enough.
Lol… 151515151
Famous athlete then I could be rich and get a hot wife. Probably get better treatments.
I reject the premise of this question. I’m sorry but it’s tacky to imply they athletes are less intelligent. They simply focus their training and energy on physical endeavors. That’s doesn’t make them less smart.
Now to answer the question. In no way shape or form would I want fame of any kind. In fact I have been avoiding accidental fame my whole adult life by keeping an anonymous internet presence.
Out of all my past lives, I was never a famous athlete lol. Never an athlete at all. But I wouldn’t mind a girl like Kate Upton lol. I would play soccer.
Famous guy. I could influence people to take action like save the environment or tolerate each other’s culture more. I could donate a sizeable chunk of my money for charity.
But as an intelligent anonymous guy, which I already am, I can only get frustrated by how people worship shallow celebrities (Kardashians? Give me a break) and fall in the trap of excessive consumerism.
