I seem to be doing much better but I know as soon as I start work the symptoms will start. Not sure what do do about that. I don’t think I’ll have a choice

My experience lies in admin so most agencies contact me for admin. Stuck in the same type of role and most have been health sector admin work.

What’s the longest you’ve been in an admin job?
After diagnosis, I mean.
If less than 12 months, it’s better to consider switching to something else.
Maybe the pay won’t be as great, however the higher work satisfaction and lower stress will make up for it.

2 years at most. But now it’s more like 6 months!

So yeah, these kind of jobs seemingly exhaust you faster now.
Are you aware of your triggers?
Is it social discomfort?
Pressure related to deadlines?
Long commute times?

Its definitely the social discomfort, especially since all my jobs have been public facing to some degree or another.

That’s why it’s taking so long to accept the right role. I’ve applied to an IT help desk one maybe that’s my thing I enjoyed doing that some years ago

With work you need to ride the waves until it just becomes part of your routine
I have fallen off my perch at various points
Last time I was off work for most of 2022
All I did for nearly a whole year was rot in bed
Literally achieved nothing
But I know how to get back to it again, so preserver

I wish I could set up my own business and sell my stuff it doesn’t work though I go through way too many crafts and can’t focus on one bloody thing

Maybe that suits better than working for the time being.

I used to volunteer at the local hospital but will try somewhere else now. Maybe a charity but after my holiday.
