@JustTrish I am still hanging in there, I have been very busy at work, 2 of my coworkers moved on from what was a good team of 3, now it’s me and another guy taking care of alot of stuff and I am constantly challenged.
My contract ends in 2 months, I had an interview with the company taking over the contract and I can’t tell if it went good. I am also going to be in for more stress with the transition if I do happen to stay on, things are already chaotic and the new company is coming in with barely any idea what to do.
I am also having a real hard time remembering things, I wish I could just be able to tell people about these issues with performance and me not being as up to snuff as I want to be with them being understanding but I think it’s probably a safer bet to just keep pretending that I have things under control.
Things can always go wrong though which I am always too aware of.
This is exactly my predicament. I can’t imagine working through these symptoms, but I hope to try someday just by ignoring it and suppressing it. Can you try something non-committal like volunteering?
I guess that’s what Voc Rehab is for, but it’s been years since I ever went in there.
just an idea. They did tell me after several tests, that my strengths are creativity. I had two babies at home, and not what I wanted to hear, but still went back to school to study poetry/dance/art, etc.
Lithium orotate 120 mg version. Taurine, L-theanine and Jasmine Green Tea also if you don’t get enough sun you may want to try d3. I found lithium is good for concentration and reduction in anxiety. It helps produce serotonin. All are good for mental alertness. I have had amazing results and am on Abilify which made me tired until I tried above supplements. Taurine works best for me but all have worked together to increase my energy and calmness.
I work from home and I am doing incredibly well. I seem to handle pressure well, but I guess it’s more due to learning to live with pressure due to my other disability (physical illness).
I used to have some serious problems with my working memory and concentration until I learned about how the brain works and found some supplements that can fix the chemical imbalances. SZ is more than just Dopamine dysregulation, which the antipsychotics and CBD can help with, but it also involves a significant acetylcholine (AC) deficiency usually. AC is the the main neurotransmitter involved in memory and focus, some antipsychotics actually do correct some of this imbalance a little which is why some APs can help with negative symptoms some more than others.
There are a lot of supplements that can correct this imbalance and your memory and focus might even become above average like my case. Huperzine A is similar to drugs used to treat the degenerative brain disorder of Alzheimer’s, which involves significant memory loss. It prevents the break down of AC to some degree and you only need 20 micrograms once or twice a day.
I combine this supplement with another one that increases the amount of choline in the brain to make AC. This is one is called Alpha GPC.
But I suggest starting with one and seeing if you still need the combination, but if you do too much you can get muscle spasms. And if you ever take too much and experience this you can use cogentin or benzotropine which you doctor will probably prescribe to you if you take AP which can also cause excess AC in the muscles and cause muscle rigidity and Cogentin is anticholinergic which is why it also causes memory impairment. But I would only use this cogentin in an emergency because this one has long term side effects like permanent dry mouth for myself and many people.
I also take L theanine and Sarcosine. The nootropics subreddit has a good guide for further information on nootropics, mind enhancing supplements.
