Psychiatric oral meds are just Kemadrin , but I have another med for heartburn/indigestion . Those are in a dosette box . Even with the dosette box I sometimes forget.
I also have Laxido sachets for my chronic constipation . I should take 1-3 sachets a day, but regularly forget to take any .
The best reason I can think of is less than average executive functioning .
You know what, I sometimes forget to take my meds too. I have an alarm set and everything but if I’m in the middle of doing something else I will finish what I’m doing and the thought will just fly right out of my head. I don’t know if I have less than average executive functioning or not but I do know I have crap memory for sure.
I used an app that reminds me to take my meds at the times I’m supposed to take them. It’s really helpful. There’s even a snooze option if I’m not able to take them right at that moment
I have dosette box but I’m too lazy to reload the fargin’ thing. Really. I had one ultra bad day last month where I think I took my blood thinners at least twice. Sneezing was not only messy, but I actually had to take iron after to cope with the blood loss. I know you’re not a huge fan of smartphones, but the free My Therapy app for Android really helped me out here. Haven’t screwed up doses, missed doses or doubled up since adopting the app.
