People are so open minded about depression, anxiety and bipolar, but so shut off to sz? I’m not sure what it’s like in other countries, but in Australia people are always talking about their depression etc on tv, and are applauded for it. Sz does not get a similar reaction and is often greeted with fear. Why do you think that is?
People understand depression more and not as much fear, with sz they hear crimes that are being defended on the basis they have sz, even though more violent crimes are done by people without sz.
Also most people tend to want nothing to do with what they don’t understand and are unwilling to spend anytime understanding it, it’s easier just to avoid it.
Cuz we are demonized by the media.
I agree about Australia.
So much love for depression and anxiety here but oh no don’t mention sz.
We are the final frontier, I hope in the next decade as gets a bit of attention in a good way. All I see in the news about sz are murderous rampages here
people can relate to the others. Everyone knows sadness, apathy, instability, anxiety… no one knows what it is like to hallucinate or be delusional… funny thing is though by and large human still are delusional… and likely do hallucinate a lot. Mushy electrochemical brains acting innacurately. Wait did he say that? I think I saw a ghost… Nay… I SWEAR I saw one!
