We feed them. If we didn’t feed them for one day they would leave without saying goodby.

Cats take advantage of our love for them.
There have been cases when the owner died while trapped in a room with their cat(s). After a while, the cats got hungry and started feeding off the corpse of their owner…
A dog would never do that.
I’m not saying I don’t love cats. I do. They’re adorable. But it’s a pitfall

I wouldn’t care if my cats ate me to pieces, as long as I’m dead first.
Wonder if the funeral home would give me a discount on the funeral if there was a whole lot less of me?

I know someone that found a body in an apartment and the dog had ate the owners face.

Surprisingly intelligent animals. Cats just do life easy. If they have shelter, food and companionship then they are more than cool.
Dogs were delibrately bred to like humans. Over the years they domesticated dogs and bred out those that were dangerous to humans. Cats just moved into settlements most likely attracted by the rodents that have always accompanied human settlement. They never left!
Cats are good for humans. Good for sz people as they are relatively independant and are loving animals…welll mostly! My Charlie can eat me if I die…won’t bother me!

Well, to be fair, the owner wasn’t that good-looking.
This seems to be an important point to me but I don’t know why.

All of my cats have had my explicit permission to eat me if I die - I’d much prefer that to them starving. My co-person has the same deal going with her dogs.
