Every time I log into Facebook I see the most outrageously stupid and offensive comments. I usually ignore them but sometimes I reply which I shouldn’t.
What do you think of Facebook in this particular way?

I don’t go on Facebook because people are dumb and mean. I heard it’s as bad as high school on there except worse because now all the mean people are in their 20’s and 30’s and have ten or twenty years of experience being mean adults. I don’t need that. I actually have a Facebook account but I don’t use it except when I’m directed there to watch videos. I don’t even know how Facebook works or how to set up a Facebook page.

Especially on political topics, people quickly unleash the inner beast. They swear, resort to lowly intimidation tactics and basically forget all diplomacy, if they ever had any.

I have a Facebook account but only use it for Marketplace. I totally don’t need it in my life, you’re right, people are dumb and mean on there.

Facebook is one of two things. It is either look at what I have or feel bad for me.

I came across a reel on fb explaining why which seemed to make sense.
It noted that all throughout people’s lives they put on a mask. From toddlers upwards people are told to represent kindness, happiness and goodness in all its forms.
Being online allows people the freedom to take off that mask. All those repressed emotions of life and express all their petty and hateful emotions.
Finally they feel free to be themselves, and like Freud says,“I have found little that is ‘good’ about human beings on the whole. In my experience, most of them are trash.”
Sorry to break the harsh news on the general consensus of humanity.

No. Absolutely not. Some people just misuse it in my opinion. 
I see lol I try not to sound cocky, I just try to post interesting things. Luckily my family loves my posts!

Facebook to me is very addictive and toxic used to go there all the time but honestly, I don’t go there anymore felt harassed when I was going there for example I get messages all the time from people I don’t know and they keep messaging me even when I don’t reply asking why I am ignoring their messages or asking me if they said something wrong no I just don’t want to talk to you and why are you harassing me or I just block them I much rather spend my free time here with you guys on this forum than ever go back on Facebook just my personal opinion and from experience Facebook also is full of drama and I want to be drama free and not have to deal with it.

I’ve been on FB since May 2009. I’ve felt the need to block very few people . I’ve blocked x100 + more on Twitter.
