Who was the Rumi lover here

Someone on here was Middle Eastern and a fan of Rumi’s poetry. Who was it?

I am reading Rumi:

It was notmoses :joy:

I like his poetry but i cannot really identify with it. From this bitter perspective of mine he is just too idealistic, too much transcendental. I find contemporary poetry more compelling.

I prefer Hafiz. A contempory of Rumi and a great sufi master. Amazing poet and a realised individual. If you can get a translation of Hafiz…The Gift. Translated by Dan Radinsky…I think that is the name but I can confirm if your interested.

First the fish needs to say

And I’m feeling so DAmned Thirsty!!!

I used to love rumi and hafiz! Before I was on meds, their poems would really touch me. They made me feel so much love.

Reading poetry by Hafiz after I first got ill helped my mind to heal. Soon after when I heard the noble Iranian singer Parisa sing some of his verses from one of her albums I was truly impressed.
