🙋, y? 151515151515

Edit: that’s an emoji raising their hand. Meaning I take the highest dose of invega, why?

Because I had some symptoms and I have to raise my ap to highest dose

234mg 4 weeks or 3 weeks? Btw What are your concerns?

234mg four weeks …my concern is tardive dyskinesia …I am very scared to get it

I was on highest shot and pill forms. Just never covered everythings.

That happens mainly with the old school meds like haldol. New drugs like Invega don’t have those as common side effects

Even on a high dose?

From my knowledge, yeah. Any site will tell you there is a greater risk for side effects, but you need to take the good with the bad. I look at it this way, the higher dose helps, and treatment teams monitor those things if you don’t notice yourself. Try not to fret over it. The higher dose helped me so much and many others on here will tell you the same. I’m actually taking it every 3 weeks next time and plus I’m on another AP. I used to obsess over dosages and think docs were overmedicating me but they know what they are doing

I’m on 12mg per day.

You can still develop TD from atypicals. The longer you’re on them, the higher of a chance you have of developing the disease.

Im on trevicta, 525 mg/12 weeks.
I got it yesterday and my dreams are gone.
Its really awakening me but in a bad way.
Im really against chemical medications but im obligated to go.

Highest as in the highest that the movement issues allowed me to, that level never covered everything but just enough where I wasn’t fully in dysfunction

Not all movement problems are Tardive Dyskinesia. It can just be extrapyrimidal symptoms which will stop when the dose is lowered or the med is stopped.
