I’ve heard some serially horrific things he’s done to his guests. Like having his team leave drugs in the green room when they had drug addicts on the show and things like that. It’s awful.

Yeah not a fan. Concerns that there’s a lot of setup and targeting people on his show. I just don’t find that sort of thing very interesting if it’s set up and it would probably be so!

I think he’s a smart man, and he’s good at what he does, but it’s always bugged me that he had to make a TV show out of it.

I don’t particularly care for Dr. Phil.
He has a tendency to be pedantic and grossly oversimplify what are complex, multilayered issues of life, and he tends to be condescending to those he purports to “help” as he often winds up in infantalizing them. Much of the criticism he has attracted is related to making an unseemly media spectacle of what is normally managed in confidence privately. It just doesn’t look professional and responsible to make people out to be examples of what to do or not to do - all for the capricious pleasure of a studio audience. And by trading public audience for professional peer-based respect, he has built a massive media empire – peer envy?

Not since he made the “Cash Me Ousside” girl popular. Now she’s making rap music. I’m not hating but it’s just downright stupid.
