Mine are Steve Jobs and Bill Hicks.

Your hero is Steve Jobs, and you use an Android phone @everhopeful?
Too funny
My heroes are both my parents.
Yes ! Bill Hicks is also my hero but I don’t smoke.
I have quite a few people I consider heroes.
Gandhi, the Buddha, Martin Luther King Jr.
I also love Bill Hicks and Jesus (sorry I’m not pushing one religion just stating who inspires me).
But if you go to the core of Jesus’s teachings, I think him and Hicks have quite a lot in common!

My aunt who stayed marathon fit for years into her 50’s
Gandhi is pretty problematic if you look it up. I will never support sexual abusers. It’s not really common knowledge though. He did do some good things as well so some people choose to ignore that part of his life.
I always looked up to Audrey Hepburn ever since I was a little girl.
Beyoncé is less of my hero and more like a deity I worship. I pray for the strength she had to switch from R&B to hiphop when they doubted her. (lol somewhat of a joke, I don’t pray)
My heros are more like Sandra Bland or LaVena Johnson. They both died in a horrific way but they both were strong, brave woman and I believe the more people know about what happened to them the better. Hopefully their deaths will lead to awareness and change for the better.
My hero is my God, Jesus Christ…all others fade.
Sorry if this russles any jimmies, but I like Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor from Freedom from Religion Foundation, as well as everyone working for them. Or pretty much most people who fight for secularism and further the cause of a secular society.
I have others, but they’re usually people I know in real life that I admire. I’m usually drawn to people with strong personalities or personal magnetism. People who can easily talk to and make people laugh mystify me.
Joan of Arc was also a total badass. She was so young when she had to fight, and I’m always ready to support any of my homegirls who were burned at the stake. Witches before bitches and all that.
Actually, many scholars believe that she suffered from SZ. When she was 13 she began hearing voices and seeing visions. I don’t believe it ever stopped, she died when she was still quite young.
This is a great article (funny too) that talks about her life and death.
My hero’s are all fictional and I’m embarrassed to say who they are
God’s or an advanced artificial intelligence’s hypothetical behavior.
Use to have all sorts of heroes and other people I looked up to for different reasons. Although I still admire most of them, as well as many others, I’ve apparently shed the idea that i wish i could be them or somehow live the life I imagined they led… Happy to be me.
I have many heroes, but the one that immediately comes to mind is Malala Yousafzai.
Malala is a 20-year-old Pakistani woman who has spent much of her childhood advocating for the rights of girls to receive an education in defiance of Taliban-controlled Pakistan.
In 2012, Malala was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman and nearly died.
Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 at the age of 17, the youngest person to ever win the prize.
Her activism continues to this day.
I hope its not egotistical to say but I would have loved to met my Grandfather on my mother’s side. She has so many stories about him and he seemed like a really cool person. Also civil rights activists inspire me
Is it ok to have fictional chars as heroes?
Example… my happy hero is spongebob… no matter what happens… he is mostly cheerful and ready… even when he is not at first…something motivates him to become…
I didn’t know that about Gandhi.
Is that a fact though? Or just internet rumors?
(Not arguing with your point of view, I just sincerely want to know).
For the record, I don’t support those types of people (s. abusers).
Do I smell a project cooking Flame?
New book! “The Tao of Spongebob.”
I mean if someone is good at something you want to learn from them… spongebob is good at being happy…
Oh I heartily agree with ya @flameoftherhine .
I was just making a silly joke.
(Sorry. My sense of humor never goes over well on the net).
I also like Spongebob.
