Sometimes, the feeling/instinct comes before the thought or without thought. Poverty of thought/speech a resultant of relying heavily on subconscious/unconscious due to having low working memory (consciousness).

Thought disorder, difficulty thinking/concentrating.
when I was a baby, I think that my feelings came before my thoughts because I don’t think my brain was developed to the point of holding thoughts yet.
