In the primordial soup, the chicken came first. Eggs came along later !
See now I would think that the chicken evolved from something else and that something else would’ve had to have had an egg that that chicken formed in…So, I went with egg.
An egg is a single cell. A single cell comes before a multicellular organism.
I chose chicken. The way I see it eggs don’t spontaneously form in nature so they couldn’t come first.
The turkey…

Eggs from other species have been around longer than modern chickens (I’m assuming). Assuming you mean chicken egg, then I don’t think there is an answer to this. Evolution happens so slowly that the line between chicken and proto-chicken is so blurry that you couldn’t pinpoint it IMHO. If you can’t tell which is the first chicken, how can you tell which is the first chicken egg?
-IF- you could pinpoint the very first modern chicken, then the egg it hatched from came before it, so I voted egg, but only to give a response.
chicken came first…
I agree with juke mainly cos of my upbringing. That’s all I’m saying
If egg came first who laid the egg?
Who fertilized the first ever chicken egg?
A type of dinosaur that then had a mutated gene that went on to evolve into chickens.
Chicken came first because egg comes out from chicken but chicken not comes out from eggs.chick comes out from egg.and chick may have both male or female
This question has long been settled by scientists, the chicken came first
I don’t know that you can say it’s settled. I’ve done a little internet browsing on this topic since this thread has been running and it seems to me there is still a lot of people weighing in on the egg side.
I don’t think so
From what I know scientists researched on it and concluded that the chicken came first
