Which APs have you tried?

My first AP was Zyprexa. It did a pretty good job on my positive symptoms, but damn the side effects.

Besides Zyprexa, though, I’ve also been prescribed:

Zyprexa Zydis (sublingual prn)
Seroquel
Haldol
Risperdal
Latuda
Abilify (oral)
Abilify Maintena
Aristada (my current AP)

I don’t think I left any out, but I might have. I can say for sure I’ve never been prescribed Thorazine, perphenazine, clozapine, Geodon.

Tom cat I’m on 3 antipsychotics. But I’m sure that I’m on higher doses than you. For many of us who are treatment resistant the choice often stands between at least 3 antipsychotics used concurrently or Clozapine.

I have used the following antipsychotics

Clozapine
Trillafon
Dolmatil
Clopixol
Traxan
Nosenan
Pacinol

Amisulpride
Geodon
Zyprexa
Risperdone
Seroquel
Abilify

I’m currently using the followings
Clopixol depot user for 26 years
Geodon user for 19 years
Seroquel IR for 11 years

When ever I make even small changes to my meds I get unwell.
If I don’t modify in my meds I’m positive symptom free
I know that it’s this meds for life
I’m treatment resistant so I know that I won’t be able ever to get off meds.

But what the hek if you are bound to a wheel chair that’s often also for life.
