How many Antipsychotics have you tried or were on?

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia/bipolar since I was 20 and now I’m 59 years old so I have tried quite a few different APs, 8 in total.

Invega and now Abilify. So 2.

Definitely prefer the Abilify!

Zyprexa, Haldol, Geodon, Abilify, Trilafon, Invega, and I’m currently happy with Risperidone

Third time lucky for me.
Amisulpride (severe akathisia), Risperidone (high heart rate + low blood pressure + dizziness + derealization), Aripiprazole (bingo).

Stelazine, olanzapine, risperdal, sulpiride, Amisulpiride, Abilify, seroquel, on clozapine now . My favourite one was probably sulpiride
I did work full time for ten years on stelazine but stelazine doesn’t work for me now

Respridone, olanzapine , seroquel and lastly abilify.

Was on alot of the 1st Generation Drugs at 18-19. So much so i had the “Haldol Shuffle” and used to have to stick my pinky fingers out on my hands. Never mind the tongue chewing. Flaming nightmare it was.

A total of nine. One of them I forgot the name of. It gave me neuroleptic syndrome. I never hear of it anymore. Began with either an S or an R. I don’t remember. Long ago.

Seroquel, Zyprexa, Clozapine, Risperdal, Invega, Abilify, Orap.

That’s all I can remember so I think 7.

I have tried:

Haloperidol,fluphenazine, sulpiride, amisulpride, risperidone, ziprasidone, lurasidone, clozapine, olanzapine, quetiapine, sertindole, aripiprazole and cariprazine.

I’m not really sure—I wasn’t taking my meds regularly and also had no idea you’re actually supposed to take it with like 500 calories each go.

I might give it another shot try in the future if Abilify ever quits working :grimacing:.

Are you thinking about taking it? People seem to do well on it.

It’s the only harder AP than Abilify that I haven’t tried. I hope I don’t have to try it

I was on prolixen for 20 years then my doctor tried me on Abilify, geoden and resperidone. Resperidone is the only one I could handle and I’ve been on it 22 years plus three years ago my doctor added Seroquel.
