Where would you live ..?

In a crowded world center such as New York City, London etc.

or

in the countryside far from the world centers ?

I prefer the countryside more.

Big cities kind of freak me out, too much going on, too much noise etc

I like to live in suburbia. Close to both. Where i live is great. The most isolated city in the world, perth.

Probably a suburb with city access for when the mood strikes :light_rail:

I’m living in a countryside and it’s pretty boring, nothing much to do, maybe it’s anhedonia speaking… When I lived in town I used to see my friends and go out a lot more. People get tired from both sides. Whoever lives in a city wants to move to countryside and whoever lives in countryside wants to move to a city. It’s a paradox

I don’t particularly care for the crime and high traffic in the cities. but get a little bored in the country. country has it’s advantages like cleaner air and less traffic but also has it’s disadvantages like being farther away from hospitals and mental health services, as well as having inferior grocery stores and shopping in general.

my hometown was about perfect for me, population 10-20,000. with fresh produce at the grocery and enough shopping where you don’t have to commute a long way. sidewalks to walk around or bicycle where you can get around without a car. hospital and services. and enough economy to provide non agricultural oppurtunites.

the weird thing I don’t like about the cities is the sewer system. I much prefer the septic or a well maintained outhouse. the sewer system seems like such a logistical nightmare when I think about it.

im not sure which I prefer honestly.

I get paranoid in the city but lonely in the country hahaha. There’s no winning. Maybe a small town would work for me

Where I live is perfect for me. I live Midtown in a midsized city in the Midwest USA. There’s almost a million people who live here.

I want to live in the woods with a large river in front of my house.

I want to live by a lake with a long dock I can sit at the end with my fishing gear.

I would live in either. Big cities have their downsides but I do like the perks of having things to do. Yeah it would be nice to have some coin so you could buy yourself out of the mainstream. I think that having disposable income is the key to modern living.

I prefer where I live now in the country.
It’s quiet and peaceful and i don’t have to drive very far to reach civilization.
