I was a DJ back in the day, used to dance a lot. I was about 32 when I retired from that, have not danced since.
When did you dance last?
I was a DJ back in the day, used to dance a lot. I was about 32 when I retired from that, have not danced since.
When did you dance last?
I can’t remember, honestly.
Does dancing alone in your house count?
If so, very recently.
Yeah that would count, I listen to music on you tube and dance with people in my head
I danced my way through the 80’s then got married and danced no more. Since my separation from my husband I now dance alone and find myself doing the occasional Michael Jackson spin.
In sincerity maybe at my cousin’s wedding, 7-8 years ago.
I head bang and dance to a lot of music through the day and night…I also sing and play guitar.
Me and two or three guys from the board & care used to walk to a dance every other Friday night held in a church for the disabled. The church had a day program for the homeless and people living in group homes and they held a dance for them with different live bands each dance. Garage bands. But their music was passable. I used to dance there. I was no good but then again, neither was anyone else there.
This was about 1994, it was actually fun. They had snacks, and drinks, and it was entertaining and we went there for several months. I remember there was a woman there a little younger than me who had downs syndrome. I don’t know if it’s possible to have a slight case of downs syndrome, but she was really cute and she seemed high functioning and was very social and popular and we somehow met and talked and hit it off a little and I think we danced and after a few weeks we had a mutual kiss and she invited me to go to a movie with a bunch of people from her group home.
We went and it was kind of fun. It kind of ended like several other relationships with women I’ve had. We got along good and she kind of liked me but her circle of friends were really popular and she had all kinds of guys who liked her. So to her, I was just some anonymous guy that clicked with her for about a month but it could never go anywhere. This happened to me several times.
But actually, I danced one time after that a few years later when my sister took me with her to a “line-dancing” event. Line dancing is similar to square dancing. I went once and everybody was dancing, it would have been weird if I had not joined in. So I did it. It had a certain style with certain steps and I had a hard time catching on, but this was 1997 and I was more high functioning then and I was going places with my sister and her friends all the time and I was up for just about anything. It was unbelievable back then how much fun stuff I did back then. The list would be too long.
Maybe yesterday. My dog jumped up and I grabbed her sides and we did a little dos’y’doe however you spell. Could’ve been the day before that but certainly within this past week.
It was on the deck of the Yankee. I wasn’t much older than you. My girlfriend and I did the tulip in the moonlight and drank Le Fawkes Sake while listening to Conway Twitty. This was a long time ago. I remember it like it was tomorrow. Ahhh! Wishes.
A month ago in a night-club. And i’m good at it.
Last year at a cousins wedding. I’m a terrible dancer but If I have a few I think I’m good!
It’s a recipe for disaster but as someone wise once said…" You’ve got to bust a move! "

Across the floor
The crowd calls out
The girls want more
i used to dance when i was home alone or at weddings or parties, but i haven’t danced in a couple years. not since meds anyhow. i just don’t enjoy it anymore and it makes me feel like a fool now if i do.
mom likes to dance, she says dancing is better than a glass of wine. i disagree. she also said people who don’t dance are just jealous. to that i said, mom i think your delusional, i don’t want to dance.
Last summer on evening parties…
Last time I danced was with a straight woman in a club to live music years ago about in 2008 or 2009 or so. I remember getting very out of breath because I was obese and out of shape. I couldn’t last through the whole song.
About 4 years ago at new year party. I had a bit much to drink. Was so sick I stopped drinking and dancing.
I danced for a few seconds as a joke waiting outside of Outback Steakhouse because I was with my family and they were playing goofy music in the outdoor area.
