When being an adult is funny

I have certain problems with driving. I hate tailgaters for instance and teens whizzing by me at 75 miles an hour on the freeway when I’m going the speed limit of 60 mph.

Teen guys and girls .love to get on my tail and I often glare or flip them off. Not smart but I do it. But it’s kind of funny because I know sometimes that some of them aren’t trying to bug me, on the contrary, they are just looking to see what I’m doing as an adult and they are curious to see how I deal with the REAL jerks. That’s my take on it anyways. It’s a weird position to be in for me because I always forget I’m a 57 year old adult.

I act like I was when I was 17 in some ways. And just yesterday some 20 year old guy was driving next to me and was passing me by aggressively apparently looking at me. Typically I get mad but then I understood that he was trying to impress me and on some level he was looking for approval. This is my take on it anyways.

It’s a weird position for me to be in but it makes me feel cool and useful. Maybe I need to adjust my attitude and be more tolerant. I was young once too and if now I am needed to be some kind of cool adult role model or something than sobeit, that suits me just fine. It’s actually flattering.

Here in Michigan it’s the guys in shiny new monster red trucks speeding by with bumper stickers that say “I hate slow drivers!”

Well there’s your problem lol

My Dad goes 80 mph and he’s nearly 60.

I don’t know if you want my opinion, but I just drive as a jerk to be a jerk.

Bahahaha. You’re probably not wrong for some people. But I pick certain personality traits to be a jerk. Such as not trying to impress people. Some people I do impress. Other’s I go out of my way to make them feel bad.

Fair enough. I hope you go far in this journey. World needs kinder people. And the smart kind of kind.
