What's your stim?

This is what stimming is according to bing ai.

Stimming is a term used to describe self-stimulating behaviors that involve repetitive movements or sounds. It’s a natural behavior of self-stimulation that almost all people engage in. Stimming can include nail biting, drumming your fingers on a surface, or full body movements like rocking or swaying It’s not always clear to others why someone might be stimming.

In my case i’ll play with stuff in my hand sometimes I currently play with the aluminum foil that comes with my pill packages. I do some other stuff but that’s what I do most do you tend to do this?

If pacing the house is considered stimming, then yep, I do

I thought that stimming was exclusively an Autism thing?

It can be caused by other conditions though like anxiety. I know someone who stims a lot but they aren’t autistic just dyslexic.

I either tap my leg, or if laying down, I’ll rub my feet or toes together. Mine is caused by anxiety, the more anxious i am the faster i rub or tap.

I tap my leg too. In fact, I couldn’t stop tapping my leg this past two days.

This mental hospital I was taken to in particular only had me in bed and didn’t let me do something else. I felt I was going through hell with the voices talking and me not being able to do anything.

I rock back and forth and rhythmically move my arm back and forth while laying down. When i was young I would rock in a chair or couch for hours on end.

I chatter my teeth together in tune with songs i listen to. I also drum my hands on my thighs when feel too much energy for sitting. I also obsessively and unintentionally say ‘nah’ after i say almost anything. Especially if it is silly in nature.
