Is there any doubt? We all want that… Would you mind beeing “enhanced” by technology then?
What if we could improve cognition aswell? What if we could cure our chronic illnesses without the need of taking drugs?

Yes, a lot of doubt. I think we are on the wrong route completely. Let’s do a u-turn. And start over. I do not want my mind, cognition or whatever enhanced in this way.
And your life extended?
I think life extension will probably happen in our lifetime the question is how much time will we our lives be extended by
Nope. I think there is life after death. And if there isn’t, I do not notice I am gone. I rather accept that death is a part of life…and do not want this new type of technology to extend my life. I just don’t think that is good, looking at the bigger scale of things. I don’t think this planet and all of our lives are bettered if we extend our lives a lot.
I don’t know about this planet, but it would be better for me.
Heeeelll yeahhh, brother!
We are on life extension. Humans have never lived longer in the history of humanity. Hospitals and medical advances keep us living longer and better food.
I think future humans can live much longer if they reverse course on junk food etc.
If we dont have to work anymore and are healthy then by all means extend the life
Only the wealthy and powerful will have access to life extending technologies. At least for a long time at first. And the poor and mentally ill will remain having early mortality. Or the introduction of life extending technology could create new population control laws or something. Death and non existence is what makes life and living meaningful in my opinion.
I have absolutely no evidence for this
But sometimes I go into this frame of mind to relieve my hopelessness that I feel
I do feel life is to short at times and would love enjoying a longer life as long as I am fully functional physically at least
There is no evidence. I have heard people talk about near-death experiences (a trusted friend as well). Which may give a clue. Or may not. It can’t be proven. Nobody knows.
If there is no life after death, I don’t have a problem anymore either though. And I kind of want a livable planet for my kid and his generation, rather than me and others living longer and longer and longer. I trust nature has given us the length of life it deemed fit. In the bigger whole. It’s for us to accept its gift as it comes.
Yeah I think since I started feeling better It has changed my views
I never was as positive about life as I am now
That is so nice. I’m real happy for you.
I too see the positive in life again. Don’t get me wrong: I do not wish to die. Just to not technologically extend life endlessly. I hope to live quite some years though.
I am going to go out on a limb and say I would let them put a computer chip in my brain if it would cure me
I also am becoming inclined to donate my body to science if I could
I think life extension within reason is good, the kind you get from making sensible choices, like diet and excersise. But artificial life extension no…who wants to live until they are 120 years old right?
I want to die at 80-90 or before. I do not want my life extended.
I guess by the time there is advancements in technology we would not exist. Because, I believe human evolution will improve on the other areas, but in medicine it still is a big question, if really things can improve and there can be cure. We have not yet found cure for some of the diseases.
I’ve been enhanced by tech since age twelve.
