What's your oldest possession?

Took a pic of my old firetruck when I was a kid as part of picture taking challenge and it sparked an idea for a topic. My old firetruck still hangs in my parents garage. They have kept it all this time. Do you have any items from your childhood to share? Or perhaps something old you have picked up along the way?

My oldest possession is my piano.

It’s been passed down several generations.

I left it in my grandmother’s house because I think something is wrong with it,

Like it has bad vibes.

I don’t think I’ll ever move it into my house,

But it belongs to me and it’s wicked old.

Probably my doll. My parents gave it to me when I was 3 years old. I loved it so much. It looked like me!

I still have it.

I also have a vanity, mirror and dresser that are a hundred years old or so.

They’re in my bedroom right now.

It kind of freaks me out to think of all that mirror has seen,

But it doesn’t give me the creeps like the piano.

So I took it in my house and use it.

Not to take over this thread,

But I’m remembering all sorts of old stuff I have.

I have a ring set (engagement and wedding ring) that’s super old.

It was my great-great grandmother’s.

I won’t wear it even though it’s a much larger diamond than my engagement ring.

It also has a sketchy history, like the piano.

I don’t know if it’s my oldest, but it’s one of my most prized. A sewing kit for US army soldiers in WWII

I had a stuffed dog when I was 5 years old. I carried it with me everywhere I went. My sisters threw it in a swimming pool to get back at me for something and it kind of made it discolored. I gave away, threw away or sold 90% of my possessions in my last 5 moves but I still have that dog sitting in my closet. I’ve given away, thrown away and sold a lot of stuff over the years. Now everything I own could fit in a few boxes.

The oldest possession I have is a WWII Russian infantry entrenching tool (small shovel).

Oldest personal item is a picture of my Mom from about 1962. She looks beautiful

I have an uncensored copy of “Sons and Lovers” by D.H. Lawerance. It isn’t a first edition, so it isn’t valuable, but maybe someday I can find a drunk English Lit. student and sell it to them for a handsome profit. This book is rated as the ninth best novel written in the 20th Century, and it was first published in a censored form. The publishing of an uncensored copy of this book has been long awaited in the literary world. My copy isn’t valuable, though. I checked.
