I was taught to pay for girl when a guy is out on a date with a girl.Is it a norm for a man to pay for a woman when out on date?

I agree with @minnii, but I typically suggest to pay and see what the girl says, if she says let’s split thats a good thing to me, if she eagerly agrees that I’m paying, that’s not too good, but depending on the rest of the date, I might salvage something/give her a chance with half-jokingly saying: only if you pay next time! If she repeatedly insists on paying it all… Idk, I had a bad experience with a girl too eager show her indpendence as a woman etc., which put me off.

I paid for my ex-girlfriend on a date, but she bought me things like shirts and hats, so she tried to practice reciprocracy. When I’m on a date I let the female decide if she wants to split the check. These days it isn’t clear who is supposed to do what.

If he pays for, let’s say, a dinner and movie im buying a popcorns and lollipops. It doesn’t go the other way around though. :slight_smile:

So you expect to pay so she can give you kisses or more? lol Dates aren’t escorts.

And more, splitting the bill is better, that way no one gets pissed if there isn’t action at the end.

Furthermore, the lollipop joke was way out of line.

No you don’t understand…you split the bill so if everything goes wrong…no one gets hurt…and the man can’t say “I paid for your dinner tonight!” Your right, dates aren’t escorts, that’s why they should split the bill. Or one person pays for one thing and another for another.
