What's your high weight?

When I was hospitalized with my very first episode 6 years ago, I weighed 122 with my clothes on (I’m a 5’5" female). 3 weeks later, after being on Risperdal and Trileptal and eating non-stop, I weighed 136! I reached my all-time high of 168 about a year and a half ago. I was back down to 131 because I went off my meds but I am back on now and my weight shot back up to 138 in a matter of a week.
One of the main reasons I want to get off my meds is because they make me FAT :frowning: I have (pathetically) hung onto 10 pairs of expensive, small jeans in the hopes I can get back down to 122 again. 3 years ago, I went off my meds for almost a year and got into my jeans and it felt so good! I went back to the gym and grew my hair out…
Ultimately, I ended up having a psychotic break and going to the hospital.
Do you guys struggle with med weight gain like I do? I went from 122 to 168. What’s your high weight?

I do
But I’ve struggled with eating even before meds

It’s just now I can’t jog

And jogging used to help me with my weight…

At my heaviest I was was 240lbs. I am about 5’8, male.

It was olanzapine (40mg) that made me fat. My doctor said I was at risk of an early death because I was so unhealthy physically. My gut put me at risk for a heart attack. My diabetes was out of control and I was at risk of complications. My blood sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides and liver enzymes were way too high. I was in bad shape.

I’m 163 lbs now, so I have achieved my BMI weight, my blood work is good, and my blood sugar is pre-diabetic levels. So i am doing much better now. It was quitting olanzapine and switching to Lurasidone that made my weight loss possible.

I was on risperidone for a year and I didn’t like it. I gained about 20 pounds and it wasn’t very noticeable. I didn’t gain any weight on latuda. I think geodon and abilify can also be better for weight gain. Now I am taking clozapine and I have started gaining weight hope I don’t gain very much. There are probably lots of threads on weight gain already made you could research also. I’ve been lucky with weight gain so far it seems to be a common problem. I don’t like the sedation.

Wow! That’s a huge weight loss! Congratulations. I wish I could lose just 20#. It’s like I have to simply get used to being heavier and it sucks.

i think the most i have ever weighed was around 85 kg and im only 159 cm.

when i was 18 and 19 i was only around 45 kg.

then medication weight gain.

then i was around 50 -53 kg without medication.

i have been up and down a bit.

now that im older i can not keep low weight without starving myself.

when i was younger i was naturally petite and could eat whatever i wanted without gaining weight.
g that changed.

i was 52 kg about 4 years ago and then 55 kg.
at 52 kg i was only having a weight watchers bar for lunch or toasted cheese sandwhich and belvita breakfast biscuits for breakfast and really small portions at dinner and 4 coffees a day.

my dietititan said that is not enough food nor is it healthy and im on a vegan diet now for the animals and envitonment.

i am probably around 64 kg now.
i was 57 kg last year for a year but i was only having a nut bar for lunch which is not enough.

i love love love food and eating so i decided to allow myself to eat nice things sometimes like junk food.
not daily junk food but weekly.

i decided i do not want to be so dicsiplined with my food as to never eat junk and to eat tiny amounts.

i want to be healthy and enjoy and love my food.

i have seen some absolutely gorgeous fat people and been attracted to fat people too but i always had different expectations on my weight because i was naturally petite and that was my body type.

i have tiny boobs and my stomach sticks out more than my boobs and most of my clothes dont fit me anymore.

my boyfriend has no plan whatso ever to exercise or diet and he is really fat.

if i had a fit boyfriend who exercised and went for bush walks with me i would probably be inspired to be healthier and skinnier.

since i met my boyfriend i put on around 7 kg.

i asked if he would ever give up junk food and he said no.
same with exercise.he does not want to.

i was my fattest on olanzapine.

Try weighing almost 450 pounds at your heaviest then talk about weight gain lol. Least I’m down to almost 400 pounds now.

Srsly though. I never thought of myself as fat until I looked into the mirror. I look like 3 Goodyear blimps stuck together.

Getting down to 250 pounds would be nice but that’s only if God’s willing. I want to take my wife to Israel for our honeymoon. I personally really want to see King David’s Tomb in real life. I’ve seen pictures and whatnot of it but want to see it for real. We’ve been married almost seven years now and still haven’t had a honeymoon so it would be nice.

I’m 315 pounds. (22/half stone) I put loads of weight on taking Olanzapine.

My pdoc hasn’t said anything negative about my weight. I’m not flabby apart from my beer belly which I’m trying to lose by not drinking alcohol and I’m upped my walking. I can very easily walk 5 miles without breathlessness. I’m 36 in Nov.

I’ve booked for Israel next year and want to lose 50 pounds by them.

How much weight did you lose on Metformin?

Before I started APs the first time I was 95lbs/43kg. At my highest, after about 15 years on APs, I was 286lbs/130kg.

I’ve lost a considerable amount of weight since then, but then we switched to Rexulti and it’s going up again. About 10 lbs a month with no change in diet and I’m a lot more active. :-1:

I have that same thing happening with photos of myself

I gained alot of weight along the way with Clozaril and zyprexa. With my current drugs I somehow got rid of the zyprexa false hunger

I’m down to 195 from 245 over the years of trying.
