well when i was younger and working nights, i enjoyed shopping late at night at 24hr groceries. but now i typically shop during the day, around noon. it’s similiar to shopping late at night, with not a lot of people, but the thing i don’t like is im always the only one under age 40 shopping and not working. so i feel like i stand out to the seniors and give myself away as unemployed. so im thinking about changing my shopping time to around 5 or 6pm so that noone will suspect me as being unemployed or a social security recipient.
Mornings. Most people are at work and the place is quiet
yeah i guess im just self conscious because i don’t work. i prefer shopping morning to early afternoon, but it’s only retired people in there most of the time. so im going to start going after 3pm on weekdays. i can still beat the rush if i go in between 3 and 4pm.
im not too fussed.
but I prefer when it is quiet
mornings there is more stock out
I usually go mid afternoon, i need to go tomorrow, hating the thought though, showing long lines on tv
Early morning and afternoon.
Much easier to shop without feeling some kind of ‘pressure’.
The other day I went late at night and was asked to get 20 cash back. Well… I felt so out of whack and ‘rushed’ that I left the 20 behind.
Might be ridiculous to most but I got emotional about it and had a hard time explaining why it was upsetting and didn’t bother explaining. Just walked it off.
During the day things seem calm and I actually window shop… Gets me salivating…
I prefer mornings when there are fewer people and the store is faced and fully stocked.
