My favorite films are Interstellar and Arrival. I love sci fi and I love space themed films especially if there’s aliens!
At this time of year I love “it’s a wonderful life”.
“7 years in tibet” and “shawshank redemption” are my other favorites.
Lots more but I’ll stop there.
Slc punk
Trainspotting
pcu
Dazed and confused
All of these have the theme of “coming of age”
It used to be star wars but now I think it’s “contact” with Jodie Foster. It’s a story about perseverance.
I like The Help
I like a lot of films, but the one that stands out is Gladiator.
It has action, drama and romance.
I choose the original “Oldboy” because its not predictable and its beautiful.
The Fisher King
every schizophrenic should see it.
other than that, The Soloist, another sz. movie,
and Ray, about Ray Charles, and every Harry Potter movie,
and Water for Elephants, and the Lovely Bones, and any other book I read.
I also really liked the most current Woodstock, and all Michael Jackson, This is it, reposes.
Earlier: life of pi. Red turtle. This ghibli movie i recently saw and dont remember the name of. Ah, looked it up: arrietty. No idea why. I think nowadays i need peaceful and calm movies that are beautifully made. All action, thrillers, scary movies make me stressed.
Oh i liked that too!
I like Mike Leigh films—Naked, Vera Drake, Career Girls, Secrets & Lies, Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year… He’s my favorite director.
When I was a kid Star Wars. The special effects were way beyond it’s time.
I’m not quite sure which one is my favorite. I seem to remember being asked here once. I can’t remember what I answered so I guess my favorite movie has changed. I really like this movie called Tokyo Godfathers. I highly recommend it.
Laurence of Arabia is my favorite movie. I idolize the main character, who was a real person. Peter O’Toole plays him and is so perfect. The cinematography is beautiful too. I’ve seen it probably more than 20 times and love it every time.
I cry when I watch The Fisher King. I love that movie.
I’d have the say Chronicle. The way they filmed it, the point of view used, and while it obviously had smaller budget than similar movies, the acting was quite believable and it took some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. And one of my major recurring dreams is flying. I mean, who wouldn’t want to fly?
“Contact” is a very idealistic movie, which is great. Jodie Foster was so good in that movie. I think my favorite movie this time of year is “A Christmas Carol”.
Maybe a clockwork orange. is a good one
I like Contact too. When I was a teenager and into astronomy I was mad about it!
Now I’d say Girl Interrupted is my favourite as I like films on mental health. Also like Canvas with Marcia Gay Harden. She played a woman with sz. It was a very good film which portrayed sz with respect and sensitivity.
Yeah also one of my fav films. I dream of flying all the time.
