Whats your education level and how is your view as a whole?

I am only high school educated and did not advance further than technical diploma or diploma as a whole.I would like to know whats your view on education as a whole and what level did you advance until?

Formal education, last finished grade ten. Have some technical certifications and diplomas through self-study (e.g. Diploma from New York Institute of Photography with Merits, industry computer certifications, etc.). Most recently passed my L1 insurance broker certification. Working on L2.

My symptoms don’t let me do well in crowded classrooms. I do VERY well in self-study. Education is important if one can find some way that works for them to acquire it.

Some college

I’m self educated more than anything. I love education but school was never for me. Learned nothing in my 16 years of school. Just learned that I was mentally ill. I listen to YouTube talks and read and have learned more about the world since quitting school.

I put great value on education. To me, it’s one of the most important things. But I also don’t think formal schools are the only way to get an education.

I did 3.5 years at uni before I took a semester off for medical reasons then life/finances got in the way of going back.

But I still read/watch and learn things regularly.

I have finished first year university, but I am taking the first semester off of school this year to deal with my mental health, so I feel like I’m falling behind in my goal. I find we need all levels of education in society in order for it to function properly, however, my main drive is my end goal that keeps me going is being a research scientist, and I need university level education for that. I just hope I can finish at this point.

Yeah one day I may go back to community college for the degree aspect. But when it comes to real actual learning, I learn more on my own. And I learn exactly what I want to learn about. College would be if I wanted a degree so I can get a job.

Well I’ve thought about taking a couple philosophy courses and learning from that. It’s interesting to me.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma. I found that your education at that school was pretty much what you made of it, at least in liberal arts studies. I did come across a couple of guys at that school who couldn’t write a coherent sentence. If you can’t write a coherent sentence you shouldn’t be in higher education.

O levels in English language,English lit, French,History, Latin and Maths. I got ill before taking the A levels that would have been a passport to university. Apart from a short ,abortive attempt at studying for history A level by correspondence, early on in my illness, I have not done any further studying.

Master’s degree from a Cal State University. Prior to that, I earned a Bachelor’s and an Associate’s degree, as well.
My view as a whole about education? For me, it was proving doctors wrong (they told me to drop out and give up) and learning what the sage brains have found out through scientific discovery in formal, social settings. For my mother and grandparents, higher education was not an option to them in the states due to finances and other barriers…so it meant a lot to me to just do what your average, normal American would want to do: get a college education.

Now, I have to find work, though, gah!

Oh, and education provided me a place to learn to interact, critically think, and explore new fields on a daily basis! It also paid my bills, I got grants, scholarships, etc…up until my graduate program where I got greedy and accepted the loans, instead of just taking the grants and scholarships and finding full-time work. I still revel in those memories of lavish spending, though. I want to experience that again, minus the debt part. I was like it’s time to buy my semi-annual new computer replacement for a perfectly fine, working computer and I technically don’t need to add another computer to my collection…but poof! i built a custom pc from scratch. poof! chromebook summer. poof! all-in-one pc november. Most still operate, minus my macbook, though, all in all education has been a good investment, computer wise.

I stopped when I was 16 y.o.
My view is that most teachers (especially those that don’t teach in a university) are very ignorant. In fact, they are more like babysitters than teachers

I have completed my GCSEs and A-levels.
I was supposed to be going to university this year to study Psychology but I’m too mentally unstable.
Being in education was fun until my perfectionism took over.

A*s, As, Bs, Cs, Ds, Es , Us, whatever. They are only letters and I’m fed up of being defined by them!

I have 2 technical college diploma in computer science. Here in the province of Québec, they call these type of diploma “DEC” and they are highly valuable for the companies and very demanded, as much as university diplomas.

I have studied computer science in university but I had to stop it at 2/3 of the study program because of the mental illness. I have also an unfinished DEC in human sciences.

My DEC in computer science are enough for me to have a good career.

I have a Masters Degree in Art History. I was on track to become an art historian when I fell ill. Plus, I have social anxiety and low mood and in this job you need to be very assertive and a great leader and I am more on the introverted side. But I feel a bit of a failure for that…

I used to think art history was just putting paintings in chronological order when I was little!

Maybe an introduction to art history but otherwise it can get quite theoretical. I actually found English Literature easier.
