I cant afford to smoke anymore, im spending over 400 (canada, cheapest pack here is $15 in my area) a month on it.
I tried vaping. Made it about four months or so with only the odd pack of smokes purchased.
My main problem with vaping is i don’t get the same nic fix feeling. I constantly vape, taking a drag every 15 seconds for the whole day. And i use the max amount of nicotine you can get vape juice in.
I have other things i dont like too. Can never get an ejuice that has flavour of tobacco, doesnt ‘irritate’ the throat (in regards to heat) -when i take a drag, i want to feel it.
I know @everhopeful managed to switch. If anyone else did and has tips please lemme know.
When I was vaping, I was vaping too high at 24mg it gave me headaches. I just kept lowering the nicotine mg til I got on 0mg. I got rid if nicotine all together. Somebody else might know better than me
If you are trying to switch to vaping, you are probably going to go through withdrawal for a while if you cut out cigarettes.
Give it some time, you will normalize to the vape and not need it as much as you are using it now.
I switched from cigs to vaping, it was definitely a change. I never could find a tobacco flavored one that was a good substitute. So I switched to menthol. That seems to do the trick for me.
My ultimate goal is to quit, so I’ve been slowly working my way down to 0mg nicotine.
A lot depends on your ecig. You sound like you need a “sub ohm” setup. Sub ohm is more powerful and the maximum strength juice you should use in it is only 6mg. It produces clouds and clouds of vapour.
Talk to the guy at your local ecig store. Say you want a large battery and large tank and make sure it’s sub ohm.
A large battery means you don’t have to recharge it during the day. A large tank means less refills during the day.
Personally I use an innokin mvp4 battery and innokin isubg tank.
I always thought that the trick was to have a small tank. Then you could limit yourself. If your vaping nicotine like an actual vaper, then you’d probably spending a lot of money. If you vape it like a cigarette then you could limit yourself (mouth hit vs throat hit).
I used to have an PockeX, it’s like 30 CAD and a 20 CAD bottle would last me 2 weeks.
But then I switched to gum.
Now I’m on Alpha GPC 300mg x1 daily and 1mg nicotine lozenge x3 daily.
You just have to experiment and find what works for you.
Thanks for the advise guys. I decided to switch the tank out for a higher quality one. Was working with a kangertech kbox mini. The only tank that would work with it was one by aspire. The drags are much better, and it was only 35 CAD. Bought some ejuice, export-a green pack for $25, 60 ml, 12 mg.
I think this will work for me after i get use to it again. For some reason its not making me cough like my last tank -which is one of the things i dislike most. This one still provides that heat feeling but isn’t as harsh.
Lots of good advise, so thanks again! Hopefully i can quit the tobacco.
If you inhale directly into the lungs, youre going to burn your throat and irritate your lungs. Smoke it like you would a cigarette, inhale into your cheeks, then inhale into your lungs.
