Psychiatrists use the term “crazy” in their practice. In their conferences with other health professionals, while discussing their patients, they ask everyone in the conference if a particular patient is “crazy” or not. I know they do this. I’ve sat in on psychiatric conferences among professionals as a nurse.

I describe myself as crazy for the same reason I describe myself as queer: if someone is gonna try to use a word to hurt me, then I’m just gonna take that word for myself.

I think it’s when we can’t tell what is real with what is not. crimby said it well doing the same over again hoping for different results. almost trapped in not understanding but seeing the trap and longing for normal and belonging.I would one day hope to know truth but i’m, unsure there is a single truth because of individual perception.

It’s not easy to put crazy in a nutshell, but things like dishevelled public appearance, overt aggression, delusions of grandeur and / or incoherence are usual tipoffs.

Crazy is a derogatory word. I use it in a joking manner myself but I would be really pissed if someone used it seriously to describe me. Maybe I sort of try to reappropriate it lol.

A break from the reality that other people are seeing!

It’s funny in my opinion because some seek a break from reality. They get high. I never tried it

It’s a very similar process. It’s a chemical reaction in your brain but as someone who did some stuff it’s nothing compared to psychosis. People on chemicals eventually come down as the drug leaves the body/brain. Psychotics are locked into hell for an extended period of time.

Crazy is crazy!

I’ve had people call me “insane”, “crazy”, and “eccentric” before. It doesn’t hurt my feelings. Just like people have called me “sir” before. That didn’t hurt my feelings either.

Crazy:

Immoral: Is socially irrational
Irrational: What is true outside of the mind is false in the mind and vice versa
Illogical: How nature works is misunderstood
Impractical: Does what is unsafe and/or discomforting

There are sz’s that are not crazy as they know these things well enough to see through the syndrome clutter. There are also sz’s that do not know yet. And I will be honest with you in that the entire world is held to these standards too not just sz’s. The “normies” have mental clutter that gets the best of them which they have not learned to see through.

I think of the loretta lynn’s song “crazy” and how so many words can hold different meanings by the perceiver. She was crazy in love in that song. a beautiful song.

Crazy is my dad stopping a riot at my step-sisters high school graduation party when a bunch of drunken 19-21 years olds came uninvited and started running amok and tearing things apart.

There was a bunch of the party crashers in the driveway and the front lawn wrecking property and out of control and my 5’ 9", 170 lb, 50 year old father grabbed a beer bottle and ran up to the leader and grabbed him and yelled at everybody to stop or he would brain their friend with the bottle. It worked and the people left. That’s a good, brave crazy.

My crazy is delusions and paranoia and hospitalizations.
